In my Anthropology class we have an end of semester project in which we have to make an artifact about our family and I am clueless on where to start. Does anybody have any ideas?

You can go a couple of routes. You can look at your families heritage and make something along those lines. (German, English, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, etc...) Or you can look at your families present culture and values and make something along those lines. For example, does your family love sports? politics? tradition? travel? close-knit or see each other on holidays? etc..

If your family roots were Scottish I would suggest making a claymore-- If your family roots were French you could show armour piercing arrows. If you are jewish you could steal a trust fund. Plenty of choices.

AN ARTIFACT SHOULD BE SOMETHING WHICH CAN LIE BURIED IN THE EARTH FOR THOUSANDS OR EVEN MILLIONS OF YEARS WITHOUT BEING TOTALLY DESTROYED. SO SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE REMOTE.
