You do realize that the Democrats wanted to add people making up to $80,000 annually on the children's insurance plan. That is just silly. $80,000 a year is not considered working poor.
Second of all many states in the Union are now adding a new tax to Tobacco products to pick up the cost for Health care for the same children.
Iceman why does it have to be a choice between the war or children... Why not just paying down our countries debt...
I know common sense does not come easy to you.
Nice way to read only a liberal view, and not get the facts. I always like to have all the facts before I pass judgment.
BTW,,, it is not S-Chip... It is SCHIP...

helpless my eye. this program was expanded far beyond what it was intended to do with lots of liberal pork and is being vetoed for runaway costs. when confronted with this directly, harry reid was quoted as comparing it to the war cost stating "we got cheated in the last six republican budgets". in other words we got ours....
check your facts next time and stop wasting peoples time here with liberal pap.

It is not up to the government to be charitable but it is the people that should be charitable of their own choice.
Republicans give more to charities than democrats! So instead of having your hand out all the time maybe your party should give a little!!
KEEP THIS COUNTRY FREE!!!
It is interesting that when a little SELF-sacrifice is needed you people are nowhere around! Why is that?

all one has to consider is that he has once again threatened to veto something that will benefit our youth, while increasing the spending on programs to help other countries.

Something I finally agree with Bush. I'm sick of this emotional political bs. You want to help the poor donate to a charity. They do it better anyways.

I think expanding this program is a bad idea. People who make $60,000 a year can buy their kids' health insurance themselves.
