I've had frequent migraines throughout my life, blinding headaches, some of which would last a month. I can't believe anyone would be so cowardly as to even think such a thing! Who knows what circumstances might come in your life where you might have to suffer worse pain? I'm not saying that pain ever becomes tolerable, but what sort of a person even jokes about suicide?! That is not a subject to joke about or take lightly ever! I'm sure a lot of people would find the suggestion upsetting.

I don't understand why you would ask such a thing?

By the way: Consider yourself lucky if you have a doctor who will prescribe something. Not all doctors are so understanding. Mine let me have a "major cardiac event" before she took me seriously about problems I was having. She never offered anything for migraines. Yes, she IS a very poor doctor; most people agree with that.

No...I've never felt the need to pull the trigger of a shotgun to the side of my head. But I do have a pretty irritating headache right now :-(

I've had a headache nearly every day of my life since I was 15 and no I've never wanted to put a shotgun to my head.
If your headaches are that bad, you really should see a doctor about getting prescription medicine. Much less painful than a shotgun.

Yes, plenty of times, I get migraines. After I found Imitrex Injections though I can usually end it by giving myself a shot and in 20 minutes it is gone. Which is WONDERFUL! If you're having headaches so bad you want to shoot yourself get into the doctor and get yourself some meds. There is no good reason to suffer.

Few days after a root canal, had a pain like nothing I had ever felt or heard described; called the dentist at his house on a Saturday morning (yep, looked him up in the white pages)..He prescribed more or stronger meds... I hadn't felt like that before or since then.

From time to time I have migraine crisis. I can't stand any light, any sound. I feel like wanting to kill somebody, so better not to see a shotgun around...

Yes i so have.
Times like those a shot to the head seems better than a headache.

My migraines already make me feel like someone shot me on the side of my head. Thats why I have RX meds for it. Migraine suck & I get them often. What do you take for it?

Migraines used to make me want to do that for sure. I would rather get shot in the head than get one of those!
