What is a centrino technology which comes with some notebook processors?

I am planning to buy a notebook and i don't know which processor to opt for

Centrino is Intel's mobile platform that is composed of an Intel mobile processor, Intel chipset and Intel's wireless chip.

Centrino Duo uses Intel's Core Duo processor (Yonah2). It is a 32bit only mobile processor that uses the first generation Intel Core technology.

Centrino Core 2 Duo uses Intel's latest technology 64bit dual core processor (Conroe). This has the best performance.

Dual core processor is a much more general term, referring to any processor with two cores. A C2D (Core 2 Duo) is a specific processor line shipped out by Intel.
