one time i asked this question and everyone said "Rapper's delight" by sugar hill gang. just because it was the first rap song doesn't make it the best one. so i want an honest answer. best rap song based on the beat, lyrics and rapper's flow. my opinion or my favorite for this one would be "Lose Yourself" by Eminem. i wanna know what others think.

Their is my favorite: Paperboy's Ditty
Than their is the crowd favorite: Digital Underground's Humpty dance
Than their is the flow of: Bone Thugs N Harmony's Crossroads
And the lyrical beats of Eminem's Sing for the moment
So the best would have to be a personal choice.

It's hard to narrow it down to just one song, but I'd have to say "Stakes Is High" by De La Soul. Great beat by the late, great J Dilla (aka - Jay Dee), great delivery all around and great lyrics that actually mean something and still ring true today.

That one is tuff. I would have to go with one of tupac's raps. He was a straight poet. even though he was a bad influence.
