Brewers or Mets?? Or is there another team that's sliding into the end of the season?

Obviously the Mets. The had a 7 game lead over the Phillies with 17 games left this season and are now currently a game behind them after choking away another game and the Phillies winning again last night. The only hope the Mets have of even making the playoffs is if the Phillies lose their last two games and the Mets actually can win both of theirs.

The NL Central was up for grabs through out the season. Even the Pirates were in first place in that division for a bit this season.

The "METS" they had to many injuries to key players. It's not that other people didn't step up it just hurt the team chemistry. Of course the Manager is going to shoulder the blame for this collapse

This from a team who came out and said they were the best team in the NL East. Oh well I guess the Phillies had a thing or two to say about that.

yea the METS are definitely the biggest downfall in the NL.. but u have to credit to the phillies...

im a die hard phils fan who thought they had no chance once cole hamels got hurt ( all pitcher for novice fans out there ) but he is now back off the DL n propelled the phillies into 1st place with 2 games to go.. they were ravaged by injury and down 7 with 17 games left but they refuse to die man..

the Brewers would be next.. then what about the dodgers and braves not even competing for a wildcard..

The Mets of course! If they don't make the playoffs that'll
be great! The Mets had like a 7 game lead with about 17
or so games to go, and now they're 1 game behind the
Phillies with 2 to play.
The 2007 Mets can join the 2004 New York Yankees as
one of ESPN's biggest chokes in the last 25 years or more!
If the METS do lose the division, It'll truly be "amazin"......
Seeing Mets fans faces after the game at SHEA,.................
PRICELESS.....................................

Without a doubt the New York Metropolitans(Mets). To have the lead in the East for so long and to lose it in the final weekend is a first. But there not officially done yet.

Dodgers. Before the All-Star Break they were playing incredible baseball. They were being very productive and it seemed certain that they would be in the playoffs. They started to crumble in the second half and are now almost a .500 team, which is very disappointing with all the talent they have.

The Mets. The East was practically in the palm of their hand and the Phillies were nowhere in sight. If I were a Mets fan I would be so angry at them. Kind of like how I'm angry at the Tigers, but that's another question.
