My monitor does not work?

I have an idea of what is wrong with my computer but I really just want to know what I can do to fix it. What happened was my girlfriend tried to carry the CPU and the monitor at the same time when we were moving and it didn't work. She dropped my CPU and managed to hold on to the monitor. Basically the slot the monitor plugs into was ripped from the back of the CPU. After a few hours I managed to get all the prongs back into there slots and everything worked great. Then a few weeks later it started to work here and there. Till eventually it stopped working completely. I took the monitor plug off and saw that one of the fifteen small prongs were missing. I know the monitor is receiving power. The only thing wrong is their no image. My main question is, is there a place I can buy a new cord or connection pieces for my monitor? If so, where?

There are several pins in there are not needed, often they are left unpopulated.

VGA cords are available from retail computer stores.

IF the connector was propperly screwed into the video card, then you may have damaged the video card connector, or the card itself. That is soldered onto the video card, so to fix that you would need to replace the entire video card.

yes you check best buy or ciccuit city but if you a have a year warrantee go back to the store you bought it from. these are the stores you can check:dell, circuit city,best buy any store that sells electronics.
