A nice guy, probably a good golf partner, good husband and father with a nice family. But there's no frickin' way he should have ever been elected president. Anyone else agree?

Willow22: Believe me. I'm no fan of his, but calling his daughters "boozers and hooligans" is grossly unfair. You didn't drink when you were 19 and 20? I certainly did.

Nebteb: Using a Hitler example when speaking of Bush is really quite over the top, wouldn't you say? Like you, I think Bush has been "dangerous," but mostly through his incompetence. I really can't see where he's "evil" though. (Cheney -- well that's another story).

You can conduct your life however you want, but when you agree to take up the single most important position in the country, do it right, do it with integrity.

i really don't care if he's a good golf partner or a good husband. Hilter liked dogs but that didn't make him a nice guy. GW Bush impresses me as being a spoiled silver spoon brat who was never held accountable for his cruel actions, who enjoys having the power to make other living things squirm. he likes to rudely flip the world the finger and smirk when there's nothing anyone can do about it. i think he's a banal self involved, self centered little man wearing shoes far too big for him. his deliberate self engrossed stupidity while in a position of so much power makes him evil and dangerous.

PS. i didn't compare Bush to Hitler. i'm saying that some singular seemingly redeeming feature of an evil person doesn't make him a "nice guy". and if you don't see the evil in GW's arrogant smirk then you're not seeing the creature for what it is.

I agree with the no frickin' way he should have ever been elected president part. i don't agree with the rest. How is he a good father? His daughters were boozers and hooligans before they were even legal just like their old man. A nice guy? I guess I could give him that. Usually really dumb people are pretty nice, because they don't know how to socialize. Good husband? Well, you might be right about that one. Good ole Mrs. Bush she doesn't seem to have much going on up there either so I am sure she doesn't realize how much of a schmuck her husband is.

No. The nice guy part definitely isn't true. Nice guys do not lie about countries buying uranium just to scare up an invasion that killed 3800 or so troops and counting.

Totally agree that the guy does not have the required skills to be the president of the Boys Club let alone the USA.
