Led Zeplin? come on people!

2007-09-28 18:19:12 · 27 answers · asked by Lady Madonna 3 in Entertainment & Music Music Rock and Pop

I am aware of my bad grammer. The questions are only allowed to have so many words, so I had to frame the question that way to make it fit.

I am also aware of my music elitism--I'll be the first to admit it.

All I said was that it bothered me. It doesn't piss me off or anything like that.

I'm not offended either. Just bothered.

Sorry I wouldn't have asked the question if I knew it would offend so many people.

What gets me are people who claim to be huge Pink Floyd fans and all they know are the albums "Dark Side Of The Moon" and "The Wall". I'm not a big fan of this group but my daughter asked me the names of some of their other albums and I was able to name at least a dozen of them.

Typos of any sort bother me. Hello spell check!

I think for things that are spelled differently (like bands and artists), you should definitely Google the name before you are typing it.

It's annoying but not nearly as annoying as people that try to get in front of you at a concert of a band you worship and they only know the radio songs. I hate that. I hurt people that do that.

Yep. I wonder when they see the name spelled correctly, do they think the correct spelling is wrong? They probably think " a lot " is one word, you're and your have the same meaning, and then/ than are interchangable. Go figure.

If they like the music, it doesn't matter how they spell.

I know people who call Linkin Park "Linking Park," and one of my friends mislabeled Modest Mouse's 'Ocean Breathes Salty' as 'The Ocean Breeze is Sally.'

They like the music, though. That's what counts. Don't act like such an elitist.

No, that does not bother me.

Does it bother you when people use incorrect pronouns?

(You used "it" to refer to a person, which is not accurate. Alternatively, you used "it" to refer to a name, which WOULD be accurate except that you never used the actual noun "name" so there is nothing for the pronoun "it" to reference. Equally inaccurate.)

I'm sure you know the saying about glass houses and throwing stones.

Be nicer; be less condescending. Please.

Oh, and "come" should be capitalized.

And one more thing. "They" is not the appropriate pronoun to refer to "someone," as "someone" is singular and "they" is plural.

Seriously, friend, climb down off of your high horse, because you're embarrassing yourself.

Are you referring to me? No, some names are harder to spell and some of us have learning disabilities and do not know how to spell exact. Please, try to overlook the spelling if it is a name because the spell check does not know how to spell some names. Thanks and have a great day. I am sorry if I offended you, really.

Nope, just tells me they're a dope for liking them in the first place! Not to mention lazy typists! Probably have to get back to the bong before it goes out!
