The nature of emotions is that is is human, and therefore relative to each individual.
Rationality cannot be immoral. It is merely a system of "making sense" of the things around us. We merely feel distaste for the rationalizing of emotions because it takes away the more confused facets of "humanity" we typify emotions with.

There is nothing wrong with rationalising emotions.
Rationalising them means that you are looking at them from a rational perspective and attempting to understand them.
Emotions can make you irrational at times but that doesn't mean the emotions should not be expressed simply addressed from a different angle.
Also being very rational about others emotions or your own can be suppressive to emotions.
Just be careful not to over rationalize or to rationalize all emtional displays.

No I do not think that there is something wrong. Emotions come from a place. I believe that we have a file cabinet of memories. There are times that they are triggered and uncontrollable emotions are evoked. If you understand where the emotion came from, You would be better able to control the emotion in the event the stimulus presents itself again. Sorry, I went a little scientific.

Not at all. Most emotions are a waste of time. We are an excessively indulgent culture in terms of emotions. I hate when people want to tell me about their feelings.
If I want to know how you feel, I'll ask. If I don't ask, it's probably better if you don't let me know.
