That bc my skin is cream colored (fair/pale in other words), beige blends too much with my skin. But I personally love the color, I feel it goes well with almost anything and that beige always has a sohphisticated quality and professional look about it, and makes me look more sophisticated like a young career woman which is what I'm aiming for. I also think it does look good with my skin, that the matching is nice. What do u think? Should fair-skinned people get away with wearing beige? Does beige really look bad with fair skin? Since I don't want to give it up, how can I accentuate my skin more when wearing beige or make it not match so much?

No beige for you girlfriend. If others are actually telling you it washes you out, put on some color and start to shine. If they still tell you that you're looking washed out in bright clothing you may have a problem. You know what they say.. "like putting lip stick on a Bull Dog". No only joking. Beige is good for blending into the background. Step into the foreground, Smile and wear colors with style.

I think if you had enough confidence, and self-assurity, then you could walk down the street wearing a garbage bag and you'd still be the envy of everyone.
Taking people's opinions on things is a matter of perspective, if you think it looks nice, who cares what someone else thinks, you may think something they own looks horrible when they feel like a million bucks when they wear it, I have a very fair skin tone, and I wear light colours including beige all the time and have never noticed being 'washed-out'

I've never really seen anyone look good in beige. I think it matches skin color too well. Take pictures of yourself wearing the color and go back and look at them and really decide if it's doing you well or not. Or post pictures on here for more accurate responses

I know just what you mean! I love beige, and wear it frequently.
Rules for wearing beige:
1] wear a bright or vivid pastel with it, in either a top [ T or blouse ], jacket, or scarf
2] wear earrings in your best precious metal - gold, or silver
3] wear a bit more blush, and a deeper or brighter shade of lipstick
You'll look great!
TIP: if you have freckles, use that for a lip shade; and use color flecks in eyes for shadows.

Beige on fair skinned people just makes them look more pale. But if you have to accessorize with long necklaces.
