my teacher told me to do my homework on a topic from the 17th century and type an article as if i was there, but how do i do it in newspaper form?

you would write it in news paper form like have it sayin the date and put each subject and headin and just write it as if you were a reporter

Try to answer the questions Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How in your article.

Also, newspaper articles always start with the most important information in the first paragraph; it's referred to as an inverted pyramid-think wide at the top and small at the bottom - the most important information is at the top (the 5Ws and H) and each succeeding paragraph contains information that is lesser in importance. Read this. Give it a headline. Write an article like you were there. This article would be considered newspaper form. You can spice it up if you want to as if it were happening today.

As in columns? If you're using MS Word there's an option for columns under Tools or Format.
