Put it in the freezer. It will pop right out when it is frozen, then you can wash the jar in the dishwasher. Works great

Just how much wax is in the jar??
Scrape out what you can with a knife or spoon then put the jar into the microwave for a short time - try 20 secs then if that doesn't melt it try a little longer. Wipe out what you can with paper toweling, then redo the process.
Finally fill the jar with hot soapy water. Any residue should come to the top. You might have to redo both processes.
Good luck

Easy... put it in the microwave oven and melt the wax. That's what I do. Use oven mittens or oven pads to remove the jar, because the glass will be hot. Pour out the liquified wax, and use a paper towel to wipe out the excess wax. Keep repeating until all the liquified wax is wiped away. When the jar is cooled, wash out with hot water or boiled water from a tea kettle to remove the last of the wax residue. And, PRESTO! The job is done!

you can place hot water into the jar and melt it out or if not hot enough and the jar doesn't have medal on it place it in the microwave with water in it and heat it that way. But remember it will be very hot use pot holders to get it out and then disguard in sink remember it will get hard again so put plug in or skim wax off before you put it down the drain

Like someone said before use the freezer. The wax will contract and pop out. Once you let the jar go back to room temperature wash it out with hot soapy water and you should be good to go.

Turn it upside down in a pan and lay a light bulb on top of the jar. The heat will melt the wax and it will run down into the pan.

cut most of it out with a knife and then just light some thing on fire and throw it in for a few min. Then wash it out before it cools down. BTW don't burn yourself.

I am officially advising you not to use this method so you don't get burned cut or pour hot wax or water on your hands.

This was just stated so I don't get sued but theoretically it might work.

Hot, hot water, just let it set for a few minutes, then use a scrubber.
