Example: In the small town Iive in, we had 3 grocery stores. WalMart built a SuperCenter, started selling groceries. One grocery store on the opposite side of town went under. The other two lost a lot of business. You can get a can of soup .50 cheaper. But in reality, you spend more because while you are there you decide that you need and new set of sheets, printer paper, some beer (cheaper at WalMart- save .75 cents), and some cheese wiz. So everyone starts complaining in my town that we need another grocery store on the other side of town- to replace the one that WalMart ran out. We FINALLY get a new grocery store. Then everyone says- prices are too high (comparing to WalMart). WTF? I shop there and actually save money as I don't get sucked into their "deals", and I try to shop local, even if I have to pay $1 more for printer paper, etc. I worked at a factory yrs. ago, that made lotion. We would have to work hours of overtime because if we didn't- then WalMart would stop carrying a very brand name lotion. They don't care where they get their products from, whatever is cheapest- which is a good for their bottom line, but not always best with keeping with good business ethics. It's all about the money, and from what I hear they don't pass those earnings off to their employees.

To put all the family owned businesses out of business. Round here, we call it China Mart. Check it out, textile mills, grocery stores, all kinds of small business - gone!! Another thing, ever notice ya see a China Mart, there's a Lowes?? What's that tell ya'll? Next time you're in a China Mart, other than food, try to find something made in the USA. It won't happen. I'll stick with Home Depot or a locally owned lumber, hardware, farming & garden store or lighting store where they still believe in MADE IN THE USA before I'll give China Mart one cent of my hard earned money.
