You know, I started watching it because my dad was a lifelong, diehard Cubs fan. I pretty much grew up a fan. I like watching how they can pull together as a team, yet they also need to be able to perform as individuals. I like the rivalries, the camaraderie, and most of all I like just going to a game and sitting in the sun, enjoying the weather and the game (and occasionally a hot dog and a cold beer, LOL). There's nothing like spending an afternoon at Wrigley, whether the Cubs get the W or not. I also like that it's a long season, and there are a lot of games...that's why I never got much into football, by the time things got going the season was pretty much over.

Where do I begin. My favorite time of the year is when Pitchers and Caqtcher report for Spring Training. Baseball always meant the changing of the Seasons, and being able to finally play outside.
Growing up in Philly our winters pretty bad, but baseball meant you could be out playing, watching, hell I remember listening to games on the radio, and learning how to keep score.
No matter how rough times might have been finacially we always managed to get get tickets to the ball game. The histroy that baseball entails.
I've seen Pete Rose play, I've been to a World Series game, and I seen Bonds crush the Phillies by hiself. Histroy is what makes Baseball such a popular sport. Some call it boring, some call it slow. My Grand Father called it calming, for it was the only thing that couldn't be rushed, for if you it was that is who would loss the game.
Thusly Baseball helps you maintain a distinct level of calmness, so the next time you feel yourself getting stressed out just think of "Baseball".

Baseball is all about team work, no I in team, it is a good family sport, too bad the tickets are so high. Most of us start with Little League, High School then on to college. Baseball holds your attention especially when you know how to keep up with the box score. It's just fun. Not to mention the food!! The best part is going to see a game at a stadium. A whole lot of excitement. Great Question! :)

I have to agree with the others, combination of drama plus the family ties by being raised watching. Also, it connects to its history better than any other sport. If you really want to learn more and be entertained in the process, get the Ken Burns series through Netflix. It's great for any MLB fan.

I Love Baseball... Baseball is an amazine sport, there is so much that goes on behind the scenes. With signs, scenarios, positioning, stealing, pinch hitters, pitch counts, pitch scenarios, squeezes, there is just so much and the more you know the more fun you can have just watching it. And right now is where baseball is played at its best in the MLB and thats the playoffs

It's the sport I grew up watching. My parents took me to games as a kid. They never took me to even semi-pro games of other sports. I guess I just grew up in a baseball family.
I like the pace of the game too. Baseball isn't all frenzied all the time. There are nuances to it that take a lifetime to learn. That means there's always something to it that you've never seen before.
Watching MLB players means watching the best in the world at what they do.

My dad was a huge baseball fan. He liked any team that my mom hated. He got me addicted when I was a little girl. I used to sit on the floor next to his chair every Saturday or Sunday afternoon and watch games with him. It didn't matter to him, which team was playing, he watched them all. I still try to watch as many as I can. It was always a fun game to watch. For me, it's still fun, and it's also a way I can release my anger - just yell at a team, and you feel better. My dad passed on a year ago, and now, when I watch it really reminds me of him. Good times!! :)

I love MLB, because baseball is everything America is based on, Hard work gets awarded, teamwork. Always it help fathers and sons bond together. I remember watching over a 1000 games with my dad, and we did not talk much unless we were watching baseball together.

What first drew me to MLB is that my parents have been Phillies fans forever..and they passed that baseball love down to me.....and i wasn't extremely into it until a couple years ago, but you have to love it........it's electrifying......it's just a great thing to watch, and you never know what can happen.......like who would have expected the mets to lose a seven game lead with 17 games left???

it's fun, slow, fast, you get to chill with other fans. and if you go to the games it's even better... the best most funnest time is when the playoffs are just starting and there are 8 teams vying for the top spot
