I have heard that it should only be 1, but I have so much information to add that 1 just isn't enough.

If you have more than one page of info, you're telling them too much and they're very likely to not even read it. Pick the most important points, and save the rest for an interview.

Your resume if you're entry level should be just one page; with some experience, two pages, and with extensive experience no more than three, preferably two.

Take the time to edit it down to the key points. A cover letter isn't a resume it is just a note to say why you are sending your resume. They will ask questions in the interview to get more information.

my cover letters go no more than four sentences. i get calls for interviews. the issue with the length of more than three paragraphs, let alone 2 pages, is that the person will either not read it or they will think that you do not have the ability to make your point in short text.

do you thinj someone will read all of it.....
Why not have a couple of different cover letters depending on the job you are trying for...............Brief is good...they get a lot of resumes

never ever.they won't read it.i suggest having a friend or colleague read it to see what could be eliminated since you most likely think it is all important.
