i've heard many of them say this. well hey-doesn't that defeat the purpose of their supposed ablity? Aren't they just admitting that they use jedi mind tricks?

I wouldn't even call it a "Jedi mind trick". Psychics are full of crap people who pry on the gullible. If we don't believe or are skeptic, we can see right through the BS and get to the truth.

Psychics are charlatans. Don't need them. Unless of course my IQ were to suddenly take a slide down to the local speed limit.
But I do have to wonder what caused an Eagles fan and a Giants fan to answer the same question on the weekend of a game between the two teams.
I know its coincidence, but its kind of weird too.

it's like religion, the altered reality effect doesnt work unless you are a believer. the rational thinker doesnt give the psychic information to use to do the 'reading' with. those who have 'faith' always give information to the psychic to use altho they deny doing it. they give information by acknowledging with facial expression, verbally, or even body language. where as the rational thinkers withhold these signals and wait on the pyschic to give them information.
this doesn not mean no one is psychic it just shows how to weed out the fakes and profit seekers who rely on the fanatical believers for their income like religious leaders do with the followers.

Because psychic ability works on the quantum level, and thoughts also operate on the quantum level. Therefore, a person's thoughts affect and influence reality on a quantum level, directly having an effect on psychic abilities.
