Yes, because there are others who are looking for them to take advantage of them. So, being trusting can be a good trait, but you need to temper that with a healthy dose of skepticism. As you develop a relationship with a person or persons it would become more trusting.

Sadly yes.....and such an admission is a reflection on the dog eat dog society we find ourselves in. I haave tended to believe and trust too much and had fingers badly burnt. So then you become cynical and is hard not to be but not atractive as a quality I feel. Hey ho

Yes. The first girl said it simple and to the point in her first two sentences... There is most likely always someone looking to take advantage...

The key is to be trusting, only with someone who is slow to push and understands any reservations you may have... There is no format to follow, you can never be too careful...

Being honest and open with how you feel about things and having eye contact is a way to see how they react to things said...

Take time to get to know those you let in close to your heart... There is nothing wrong with being careful and taking things slow...

yes...I always used to say i'd trust anyone til they gave me a reason not too (foolish idealism) now I trust NO-ONE after finding out the hard way that trusting people just gives them power to do me serious physical & emotional harm

yes, i used to be that way. it leave you wide open for people to manipulate you and hurt you. :-\. Not a fun situation. If you allow people to do that they can attempt to destroy who u are entirely if u will let them. this is a sad fact, which i am too familiar with. Be wise and only give your trust to those who deserve it.

Of course ! at times they even get into trouble for it , but if it's in their nature it is very difficult to change unless something happens to make them more aware of what they could encounter.
