I can't listen to my A.M. sports radio because it's being jammed by propaganda from the extreme far-right. Fox News bashes mediamatters.org for only reporting what O'Reilly said. If it was wrong he shouldn't have said what he said. But if he was right, why is he all hot and bothered if somebody re-presents it in its entirety??

Notice, they (Fox News) stay all quiet when "one of their own" says some extreme whacko comments. See Rush, in pure Rush form.....

A Liberal media is a paranoid Republican myth.

Reality check: the US media is a mix of liberal, centrist and conservative voices. Also, the US media is largely owned by 10 corporations who frequently push pro-conservative agendas to the American public. Evidence:

1. Even Republican Pat Buchanan confessed, "For heaven sakes, we kid about the liberal media, but every Republican on earth does that." Neo-conservative pundit Bill Kristol also said, "I admit it: the liberal media were never that powerful, and the whole thing was often used as an excuse by conservatives for conservative failures."

2. A 2005 study in the Quarterly Journal of Economics found that "coverage by public television and radio is conservative compared to the rest of the mainstream media." Why? Partly because only four major corporate networks control American TV news-- up to 75% of the audience share. The "Big 10" media conglomerates who control the bulk of the entire US media are: AOL Time Warner, Disney, General Electric, News Corporation, Viacom, Vivendi, Sony, Bertelsmann, AT&T and Liberty Media. Yes, we have National Public Radio, but compare its public reach to that of Canada's CBC and the United Kingdom's BBC.

3. Eighty percent of all US newspapers are owned by corporate chains.

4. Liberals are virtually non-existent on talk radio stations nationwide. Rush and Dr. Laura, eat your hearts out.

5. Conservatives are very well accomodated for across FOX News, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times, the New York Post, the American Spectator, the Weekly Standard, the Drudge Report, the National Review, etc. Even so-called "bastions of liberalism," e.g. the NY Times, MSNBC, WashPost and NPR make a concerted effort to be "fair and balanced" by bringing in right-wing views like those of David Brooks, Joe Scarborough, Tucker Carlson, Charles Krauthammer and Cokie Roberts to have their say in these forums, respectively. This is in stark contrast to FOX News' claims to unbiased objectivity,

I am also Independent and do my own thinking. Beck, Hanity, Rush, Orielly, and most all the others and of course anyone on the left are propaganda mouth pieces. The only one I really like is Savage. He tells it like it is. I have been attacked by the right also. They seem to think marijuana is a capital offense and those weed smokers should be in prison. The only things I agree with them on is the gay rights and abortion issues. They lose me after that. The neo-cons are just as brainwashed as the liberals.

Airhead America *was* on AM radio - but it tanked because most people don't want to listen to idiots bleat about how awful this country is 24/7.

And there is a BIG damned difference between the main stream media and AM radio. I very rarely listen to talk radio - I admit, seeing how badly it makes the left foam at the mouth, my curiosity about has me listening to more than I ever have in my life, and I *might* listen to an hour a week. Obviously, this is not where I turn for news.

But when I pick up a newspaper, or turn on a major network's newscast, I most certainly expect them to give me the news and *not* their opinions about the news.

If you can't understand the difference between commentary and hard news, I really doubt anyone can explain it to you.

Did you notice that Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly and all of the liberal media stayed absolutely quite while the city of San Francisco tried to pass a resolution denouncing Michael Savage because while talking about a fast at UC Berkley that illegal immigrants were starting, Savage said, let them starve to death, that will take care of two problems.
San Francisco Board of Supervisors called it hate speech and advocating the death of these people.

One member voted against the resolution so it did not pass, and San Francisco can thank their luck stars that it didn't. Michale Savage already had the help of a top notch first amendment attorney ready to file a defamation of character and libel suit that would have been filed that day.

What amazed me was that none of the conservative media nor conservative talk show hosts stood up for Savage.

Mediamatters took what a caller said about soldiers that just showed up for the interview and Rush said the phony soldiers

Your AM radio is not being jammed by propaganda, it is being jammed with the TRUTH, to bad that you have been brain washed and would not know truth if it was staring you in the face.

By the way, I am not a big Rush fan

Fox news is not extreme right and Limbaugh is not one of their own.

They just stand for traditional values that have existed in America for years, values that the lefties desperately want to abolish.

And it makes me wonder why liberals and the left think that going after incompetent judges, pedophiles, and criminals is a bad thing hmmmmmmmm?

How many criminals and pedos are in your camp? I know the ACLU supports NAMBLA.

The difference is that the liberal press has a tendency to lie. Which is why the majority of people go to conservative radio and Fox news.

I can't speak for all Republicans, but....I bash the liberal media because they are actively working to destroy our nation. They are my enemy. The liberal media is out-of-touch with Mainstream America.

In fact, the rise of conservative A.M. radio was facilitated precisely because of the liberal media ignoring a substantial conservative portion of the population.

So, I will continue to bash the liberal media

i attempt to enjoy the soul-soothing classical music from WUIS, my university's radio, but it can't go ten seconds without bashing everything i believe in and attempting to brainwash youth into everything from thinking pro-choice and homosexuality are as fun as a Snickers bar.

It goes both ways. Liberal media can subtly slam those of us who are brilliant and conservative with their pompous overtones about "non-thinking conservatives who only vote what we are told to". That's BS. I'm Christian, 31, veteran, and possessing an advance science education. Trust me, i know far more of the world than some rainbow flag toting pot smoker ever will.
