I don't know. The answer would depend on how one would interpret the "box of chocolates" metaphor. As I am not really familiar with the particular metaphor you mentioned, I will just make up the most logical interpretation possible.

Yes, life can be like a box of chocolates. Imagine yourself as a person with the newly opened box and staring down at the chocolate. As we all know, chocolate boxes, no matter how large, have a set number of chocolates in them. This is not a magical world where new chocolate pieces will magically appear. If one continues to eat the chocolate, one shall run out eventually.

The chocolates are probably one's experiences in life. Some taste good, some taste a bit weird and bitter. Either way, one will eat all of them eventually.

When all of these chocolate pieces are eaten up, the box is empty. When all of one's experiences are done and over with, one dies. No matter how badly one wants more chocolate to appear and for one's life to continue on with new experiences, one will have to accept the emptiness.

Life, like chocolate boxes, is limited. No matter what one does, life will end at some point. All one can do is to savor every chocolate piece while the chocolate piece lasts.

It depends on the box of chocolates. If each one is the same then no. If each chocolate in the box is different in size, taste, texture this might reflect the variety in life but personally I don't think I could ever compare life with a box of chocolates. :)

Have you looked at the sugar content of your corner grocery store lately?

Life isn't LIKE a box of chocolates, it's on its way to BEING a box of chocolates.

It depends on what kind of chocolate box that you have. If you have the variety sort of chocolate box, indeed, you will have no idea what kind of truffle will you get inside (but at least, you are sure that you will get a chocolate).

I believe that life is much more complex and much more enjoyable (if one decides to see it at that way). Even if we keep on spending our time and energies planning, life still surprise us with its twists and turns. A well- accomplished plan rarely happens.

And, it is in the surprise that one may find ecstasy.

Old boxes of chocolates yes but now they give you a map with the boxes letting you know what chocolate your gonna eat, life doesn't let you choose what you do.

SURE!! Chocolate is sweet, filled with a few nuts, sometimes it can be bitter, and is filled with many surprises. The more you spend on it, the better it is....so sit back and enjoy your box of chocolates!
