I really want classical music, (preferably, just piano) but depressing and sad, and psychotic, without being angry.. Is there a site that lists songs that are in this section? Please dont just list songs, i want an actual site.. Thank you!

It has all sorts of styles of music, but you could just select Classical and see where it takes you...

That would not be possible, because the mood of a piece is totally subjective, while music, by its nature, simply isn't. Different people are affected by the same piece different ways.

Earlier in this forum there was some discussion about Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, which one person characterized as dark and depressing. Many folks took issue with that description.

I, for instance, cannot imagine any piece that is psychotic. Just dosn't make musical sense to me -- but somebody else might say that Scrabine's 9th and 10th Piano Sonatas are psychotic -- Scriabine himself considered the 9th satanic -- but he was psychotic. :=)

Depressing and sad -- who would listen to that? I am never depressed when I listen to some good music. But there are pieces that I feel express pathos and sorrow, like the strange a minor Prelude (#2) of Chopin (you might also think it psychotic -- it is a strange piece) or his 15th Prelude in Db (you would like the middle section in c# minor), or Haydn's Andante con Variatione in f minor. You might also like Barber's Adagio for Strings -- not a piano piece, but if you're looking for tear-jerkers.....

I would find a website like that amusing, but most likely totally inaccurate.
