And how do I make an electric ion propulsion engine?

I want to build an ion propulsion engine and nail it to the top of my car so it will go really fast.

Don't do it. There is a chance you may actually split an atom in the process and cause a humongolicious explosion which could send you into the 5th dimension. And that would be bad.

Sorry, ion propulsion only works in outer space.
Screws would be better than nails for joining metal.

pick up the hammer, and bang the flat end on the head of the nail i was holding with my other hand, into some wood. its not that hard to hammer a nail.
