Teen girls: How many of your clothes come from your own money? (all, none, some, a few, whatever) And why?

Cool...my parents give me like $150 two or three times a year when the weather changes. It's really not that much, though, so I usually spend my own money. Once that $150 has run out, it's gone. I don't get any more money for clothes from them until the next season. I'm definitley learning the value of money...lol...;]]

By the way, I'm middle class...my parents aren't poor, they would just rather spend their money on something besides trendy clothes I don't need (LOL)...But I have no problem paying for my own clothes; I get an allowance and stuff, so it's not that bad...plus, what else am i going to buy? *toodles* Thanks everyone for responding ;]]

i usually use my own money when i dont go shopping with my mom. i have to, cause as ive gotten older my parents have expected me to be able to afford my own things, and now since i can work they expect me to make money to pay for my own clothes and stuff. once in a while when i go shopping with my mom she'll buy me really nice, expensive things which is always nice :) i miss being able to get money from my parents whenever i go out though. thats your responsibility as you get older.

When I was a teenager, my mom bought my clothes as I was not allowed to work...my first priority was school and I was also often busy with music stuff. When my mom worked at our local mall, it was easier to get clothes because of her discount. Most of the time, my clothes were bought on sale, possibly from a thrift shop (if they were in really good shape), or from places like walmart. I rarely had the name brand stuff. We were always more concerned about having the necessities...not the name brands.

For some things (accessories, etc), I would use my own money..either from my allowance or the occassional babysitting gig, to pay for them. Once I got into college, I started using more and more of my own money to pay for my own clohtes, although my mom would treat me to something that I wanted on occassion.

I would star paying for my clothes once I reached my budget but I havent' done that. Also my pj's and slippers my grandparents always get and it's good with Christmas and my birthday since those are the times weather starts changing. The only thing I pay for myself is like the accsesories

My parents buy me new school clothes....with reasonable prices! Then like if i want some clothes for my birthday and christmas i get some stuff....but other than that i just pay for my own stuff!

Parents pay for most of my clothes, but I rarely ask for anything or go shopping. But I pay for everything else..purses, accessories, makeup, hair & face products, gas, when I go out with friends etc. I always feel so weird when they give me money for stuff, but they pay for meals and school stuff (books, supplies, etc)

most of it, cause my parents won't give me money unless, they feel like it, i think it's cause i was spending too much of their money, now they say if i want something i have to buy it with my own money...but i think it's good, for me to learn to manage my money, now i spend less than i did before.

most of it. because i don't like using my parents money. i always feel guilty. so i save the money up and buy the clothes. i feel a lot better. like i accomplish something or soemthing. :)

Some, Mostly because my mum just buys it for me so that i can save my money. But occasionaly i buy my own.

most because my mom always pays. she won't let me buy them if they're cheap (clearance or just like under $20). if it is over $20, I pay for it with my own money.
