I am planning to go to Vegas and hang out with a couple of friends for thanksgiving. So if I have parent's consent, can I go on this particular trip? My friends are above 18 and I guess they can rent a room. But can you actually travel and stay a couple of nights outside your state? What is it's just a different city with the same state?

You will not be able to rent a hotel room in Las Vegas, NV (at least at the casinos) until you are 21. You may walk through the casinos, but you will not be able to stop. Drinking and gambling age is 21.

There is also a curfew of 10pm for under 18, unaccompanied in Las Vegas..

As long as your parents allow it, I don't see a problem. Though someone has said that you cannot reserve a room or even get a hotel room, because you must be 21 to do so. It is definitely a requirement in any state, particularly in Nevada.

Part of me thinks it's really sad that you need to ask that question. When I was a teenager (I know, horrible phrase), it wouldn't occur to any of us that our travel could be a matter of concern to or restricted by anyone except our parents.

Yes, you can travel out of state, or to another city in the same state.

My advice is to go with your parents or a chaperon. Otherwise, stay home til you grow up.

Are you so unaware of your Constitutional rights? I suggest that you read the Constitution immediately. You scare me.
