Um, do the math. The world record for 100 meter dash is like, less than 10 sec. He runes 15 mph. 100 meters is 0.062 miles. There are 3600 sec in an hour. So that means it would take about 160 sec, or 1 and a half minutes, to run a mile at the same continuous speed. Multiply that by 15, which is the speed your bf runs at, and you get 2400 sec. That is equal to 40 min. So, that would be 20 min faster than your bf. Now, at a 15 mile marathon, usually the average speed would be around 12 miles per hour. The world record for like, a 100 sumthin average is 16 mph. Divide 160 by.........Well, you get my point. Your bf is fast, but not that fast. More like, class average. Oh and last thing. 60/15 is 4. He can run a mile in 4 minutes on average. That means he can run one km in 2.48601616 min. Thats 100 m in 16 sec. I'd say thats average. Maybe a little slower though. 14 is fast. 14- is school best. 12- is city best. Any lower, you gonna go to the olympic schools.

It could happen. That is fast though... Even marathon runners would say that that is not normal. I used to have an uncle who was an athlete and ran races all the time. He probably averaged between 10-12 miles an hour. He was an award winning runner too... I think that I would tell him lets see ya then hot shot! Who cares anyways!

Thats not that fast for a sprint. 15 mph is on pace for a 4 minute mile. World class runners can keep up that pace for a mile or more. So being able to do it for a few seconds is not such a big deal.

15 mph = 22 feet per sec
get a tape measure out if you can't picture how far 22 feet is
15 mph also means (if you can keep that pace up) that it will take 4 minutes to run a mile. that's a very fast mile, but for shorter distance sprints, that speed is not unreasonable.

he probably can.
ever hear of a four minute mile?
some people can run a mile in four minutes or less
to do a four minute mile you need to average 15mph for a full four minutes.
i bet your bf, if he is in good shape, could hit 15mph for at least a brief sprint.

I'd say that's pretty fast! Next time you need to go to the store just jump onto his back and tell him to get moving.

15 mph is a four min mile. EVERYONE should be able to sprint that fast. If he can do it for a long distance, that is impressive.
