I sometimes find myself staring in front of my own reflection in a computer monitor when it is off, and I do forget everything too. That is the only time my brain is relax from the thinking and all, and it feels good.

Yes, and everything is right with the world then. I so love doing that. I had one in my home and I would stare into it all the time. It is very relaxing and soothing.

*pouts* i don't have a fireplace anymore.....i just have a entertainment center in its place where an old fireplace used to be!! It never got cold enough to use the fireplace.....lol which is probably why my parents got people to tear it down for us!

we don't have a fireplace, but in the winter we have a pellet stove and i like to just pull up a chair and relax, watching the flames

Yes. You should try it with colored glasses on. I tried it with red ones. It looked really wild.
