As you may have heard that Venezuela and Bolivia have homegrown animosity towards the United States.?

Further, with both countries palsy-walsy with Iran which is on the verge of developing nuclear weapons, what do you think would be the reaction of our government and the American people if Iran arms Venezuela and/or Bolivia with nuclear weapons? Who among you remembered the Cuban Crisis?

those countries have no need for nuclear arms. why would they want them

It wouldn't just be an American reaction. Other countries (mostly the members of the UN Security Council) have signed a Nuclear Arms Proliferation Treaty which would govern world-wide reaction to this scenario.

I think any attempt by Venezuela to obtain nuclear weapons should be met by whatever force is necessary to prevent it. I hope that any evidence of this is considerably more accurate information than obtained on Iraq.

Those with animosity have existed in Venezuela that I know of since the 60's. I served with a Venezuelan National who was serving to obtain US citizenship. He told me many stories of the politics of hate that occurred there.

well its been taught in American history we had a stand off with Russia . my first thought was this could happen soon but i don't think Bolivia wants war they are just dirt poor and farming is all they know . i would say we would try the same tactics . Americans would be all nervous and such but were strong and would support our president .

The Cuban "Crisis" was the fault of the CIA and their friends in the Mafia who resented a country that wasn't run by capitalist pigs.

Who among you remembers the election of Allende that Nixon and Kissinger opposed, so they replaced him with a fascist pig named Pinochet?

Who among you remembers the Contras who helped Reagan overthrow the Sandanistas in Nicaragua and whom he and Bush helped smuggle their coke in the U.S. to finance their coup.

Who among you remembers that there were Robber Barons in the latter part of the 19th century, just as there were in Enron and other such companies, and that both Roosevelts (one a Republican and one a Democrat) helped enact regulations to keep it from happening again. (They didn't count on Ronald Reagan and all the ignorant suckers who voted for him.)

Those who forget or ignore history and are doomed to repeat it are commonly called "conservatives."
