I just finished an interesting book about Newfoundland and Labrador in which these two items were often served at a restaurant. Just wondering!

Fried Bologna is really good with cheese and mayo. As for cod cheeks that is just like regular cod but it comes from the fishes face!

I'm from Missouri and when I moved to Minneapolis, MN, I offerred some of my friends from the north a new fangled sandwich, the fried bologna sandwich...2 slices of thick cut bologna (fried slightly crisp around the edges) and a slice of melted American cheese on white bread.
At first they thought I was joking and then they thought it sounded disgusting......then they tried it...now they have them all the time...they loved them.
My next food introduction for them will be fried hot dogs. You slice them down the middle, but not all the way through. Then you open them up, lay them down in a hot skillet, cook them until they are slightly sear-marked and put them on a bun with your favorite toppings. OMG! They're awesome!
