I think u simply need to drink more milk and eat the right foods - lots of vegetables and fruits should be included. However, there is really nothing you can do to produce breast milk. You produce the milk naturally as much as the baby needs.

I've breastfed both my children for over a year and DID NOT suppliment with formula.. For starters you need to eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids at least 10-12 ounces a day of water, fruit juice or watered down fruit juice... Keep taking your multivitamin and pump if you can between feedings.. You can use the breastmilk at a later time when you aren't home ! Also, take a warm shower or bath and breastfeed after.. Good luck

At five months, the bonding part of breast feeding is not as important as it was before. Breast milk is still important, though. If she's being a brat about breastfeeding, then you may want to pump instead. My sister used her breast pump and put warmish hotish towels on her breasts to stimulate the milk.... You can try putting really warm (wet) towels on your breasts while she's feeding before you give up.

It's not so much a matter of milk production as it is laziness. Baby has to work harder to get milk out of the breast than she does the bottle and that's what's p!ssing her off. The bottle has one big hole, the breast has a bunch of tiny holes. She's five months old, so all she really understands is that she wants it and she wants it NOW!

You're going to wish you didn't have any more breast milk anyway... she's going to start chewing on your nipples soon and that's never pleasant.

Good luck! It's not your fault. It is not some failing in you as a mother. I'm sure your milk production is fine.

Drink lots of fluids, at least an 8 oz. glass of fluid per hour. Nurse your baby when she is hungry. Try not to fill in with bottles because that just fills her tummy and doesn't help you to produce more milk, which is your goal. Call your local Le Leche league and they can help you with different ideas and methods so you can continue to nurse and get the best results. It is well worth the effort and is so good for your baby. I nursed for one year and it was wonderful!! Don't give up; it just takes time. Good luck to you.

There isn't much more you can do...
You can try expressing every 2 hours that way your breast start to produce more milk...

Your breast are ona demand/supply basis... the more your baby demands it the more your breast will supply, visa versa...

pump your milk since she doesnt take the breast very well, if you dont get rid of the milk your supply will go down. You can buy an electirc pump at target or walmart for 40 dollars, do not use manual electirc is best

Eat Grass... It works for Cows. Just Kidding!!!

You need to keep on pumping, like they do with cows... Ouch, Sorry!!!

When a baby eats a lot it sucks a lot and the mama produces a lot, hence the pumping.... When the baby stops sucking, the mama stops producing....

Get a pump, and let your hubby do the pumping, he might have fun doing it.... After-all it's all for the baby and you can share the work....

the more you feed, the more milk you produce. it's about frequency. stop on the bottle feeding. do exclusive brestfeedings, this will increase your milk production.
