You get the stock at what you paid for it, and then tomorrow you have twice as many shares at the split price.

The split price but now you have 2 instead of just one. AND more people will buy into your stock because now the price is much lower. Then your individual stock price should increase in value.- and you have twice as many stocks.

If you own the stock on the record date you get the split.

Keep in mind that the total value of the stock is going to be the same.

Splits mean nothing. Read some good books on investing. If you don't understand the basics..... you're going to lose more money than you should!
