Room? The house would be a fortress in and of itself. Maybe entirely underground just for the heck of it.

Mine has a 'safe-room' already built into the structure of the home, and its not there for survival of a war or anything along those lines, but to protect anyone that seeks out safe refuge during any type of personal crisis, such as home invasion, robbers, etc.
It has been well supplied with plenty of food, water, flashlights, batteries, three cell phones, 2 civilian versions, one military, three pistols, (revolvers), two-Pump Shotguns, three cases of double-odd buckshot and other ammo for the pistols.
Let those who dare to tread upon me, venture into my safe haven, and I promise they will leave that room, feet first! So help me God!

yes it would have a tornado shelter. We live in Tennessee. I have one in the house I just bought, but if I built a big house the shelter would be a little more comfy!

Sure...my safe room would be a closet...with a gun hidden in a box somewhere. Sure makes me feel safe

Maybe a bomb shelter, although when the bomb comes I don't think anyone will survive.
