I still think that the USA is a great country. Yes we have had some problem with our leadership but a few bad presidents should mean that we give up on it if anything it should mean that we work harder to hire someone better next time.

Yes the US is worth saving, but creating more entitlements will bankrupt it. The only entitlement that doesn't come with a negative mote around it is education! We need to keep the students curiosity up. Their willingness to strive to surpass their teachers even if they fall short.

Edison looked at each of his attempts at creating the light bulb as a lessen on how not to do it the next time, therefore it wasn't a failure.

It is time to look for LEADERS that inspire us to DREAM like JFK did. JFK felt the individual should contribute to the world after they had generously supplied an education. MLK in I have dream speech also spook about Character. Neither said the world owed the individual entitlements.

I'm confused as to why the Articles of Confederation is a citation here. There was a reason the Founders got rid of them: they didn't work. I think we do need to re-read the Constitution and perhaps the Federalist papers to see where the nation was really intended to go. Parts of it look nothing like what we have today. Especially the way the President is elected..

The USA is worth saving because someone finally said no to our enemies.

"God," try a little tolerance. That's what this country is based on. Your veiws don't mix. Living in a country with a tyrant who tells people what to believe in would work for you. -- an Atheist

I do and most here probably does. Problem is no politician to save it and no politician that really wants to.
