no it's not,one is allowed to have more than one mate,it's called being social,sounds like you have a very sticky friend,perhaps this friend is very insecure in some ways? just explain to your mate that it's an old friend,try going somewhere with your mate and old friend at the same time,let your mate get to know this person too.

I don't think so. You see, people aren't possessions. You can be married or totally committed to someone, but that doesn't mean you have stopped breathing. By the time you've been out of school long enough to regain interest in staying in touch with old classmates, you are mature enough to know that you are already with the one you want to be with, and you are not out looking.

well, maybe the person doesnt always want to be disturbed by telephone calls. but ask them, and see what their opinion is. just say "should we. . ." and that's how you would start saying it.
