Ronald W. Reagan

He inspired a beleagured nation to once again believe in the promise of Liberty and Freedom as bestowed upon us by the Founding Fathers. He stood firm against Communism in Europe and Latin American, and stood firm against labor thuggery at home. Without question, his actions led to the downfall of the Evil Empire and the subsequent demolition of the Berlin Wall

A Gallup Organization February 2001 poll asked respondents to name the greatest president in U.S. history; Reagan came in first, capturing 18% of the vote

It would be a tie between George Washington , Ben Franklin, and Lincoln. All courageous and wise men.
Washington for his battle heroism and patriotism and vision.
Franklin for his courage to bail on England and his wisdom.
I must also give equal props to Lincoln for defining the Republican party and doing what was right with out fearing the enormous opposition from his own country men. ( sort of like GW.)
These men of the past were true hero's . Stronger and more resilient than any of today's politicians.

Barry Goldwater and Ron Paul....true constitutionalists

Those who said Lincoln and FDR that's sad. Those are up there on my top 5 worst presidents. Those who contribute to the shift to mass centralized government in this country should never be held up as hero's.

FDR. He got us through the Depression and World War II. He screwed up big sometimes, but much less than any other politician.

I like Dennis Kucinich because he is honest. It seems like he is one of the only honest ones out there. He's not going to lie to get elected, and he knows that if he tells the truth that he won't.
