amoeba is a singled cell organism, it has no definite shape. Amoeba (sometimes amœba or ameba, plural amoebae) is a genus of protozoa that moves by means of temporary projections called pseudopods, and is well-known as a representative unicellular organism. The word amoeba or ameba is variously used to refer to it and its close relatives, now grouped as the Amoebozoa, or to all protozoa that move using pseudopods, otherwise termed amoeboids. The amoeba was first discovered by August Johann Rösel von Rosenhof in 1755

It is a single celled animal. It moves by extending body parts in a chosen direction and then flowing after them. It eats by surrounding a food particle and then digesting it after it is inside the flexible body. It concentrates indigestible parts of its meal and then flows its body away from that waste.

Worms have lots of cells specializing in the various functions. An amoeba does them all in one simple creature.

Some amoeba species can cause severe illnesses (amoebic dysentery) if in the fecal-contaminated water that is drunk by humans.

Amoebas are single-celled animals that usually inhabit ponds and other bodies of fresh water. They have a characteristic "slipper"-shape (imagine the sole of a soft slipper) and can cause serious health problems in humans if ingested. You become very familiar with them if you study biology because they represent the classic single-celled organism.
