I already know if you press FN and f7 and f8 adjusts the colour brightness but what I really want to know is how do you adjust the contrast because I can't actually see the boxes I'm writing in. Remember the contrats not the brightness I need to change.

Right click on an empty space on your Desktop
Click on properties
Click on Settings
Click on Advanced
It should be in one of the tabs there (depends on your video card)
Adjust it and click Apply and see if its okay.
Click OK to close it.

While you're starting up your computer, try pressing F2 as quick as you can and a menu screen will come up. See if that setting is available for you to set up on that screen.
