Someone called me stating that they work for them but they couldn't give me anything in writing. What's up with that?

Trust your instincts. Did they promise you something too good to be true?

We had a call from them last night. They wanted money from a Discover account that we paid almost 4 years ago. They were threatening arrest warren ts and all that. Of course my wife was freaking out, so we paid it ( Again ) I Called Discover this morning and told them about the call and that this was the 2nd time we paid this now. She said it sounded like a scam and they were going to investigate. Also said that the normal action is to garnish wages. But needless to say that this is the first we herd anything on this Closed account for almost 4 years. We bought a house last year and there was nothing on the credit reports about this neither. I will be getting a copy today. I Say Be aware and get as much info as you can, and then call the original Creditor before giving them any money. And the Fact that your posting is the only one I have found so far, throws another red flag. Plus, when i was on the phone with them, they put me on hold and I was on hold with another person, and she also seemes to be in Dark about this Co and their reasons of calling.
