I recently rennovated my home which was well deserved. I ordered a skip to help with the clearance, the skip was slightly over its level and when the lorry driver came to collect it, he did give of but took it away. May I say i had to torture them by phone to come and collect it and the only way i got it removed was to order another one. When the 2nd one was delivered i found almost on a daily basis people were dumping their household rubbish into it as well as rubble at night and now after torturing the company again to have it removed they have refused, saying its over its level and its my responsibility. I had warned the company previously that this was happening but to no avail. Anyone any advice as the skip is still sitting outside my home and has been for almost 2-3 months.

you could put a sign on it saying free hardcore, failing that just ring the skip dude again telling him he knew the problem befors it was delivered and you relinquish responsibility for the skip, I had a similar prob with a boat anf the police advised me to relinquish responsibility for it and i never herd bout the boat again............ Although you hired it the overall responsibility is the skip owner it his business let him deal with it.

Call a wrecker and pull it into the street. If asked you know nothing. Let them pay the city to get it out of the pound.

Tie plastic/tarpauline over the top with a REALLY long piece of rope. wind the rope round it many times, tying with many knots. in the end it's so hard for people to get into they won't bother
