I had the same problem and also used keepvid.com...didn't work for me either. So this is what you should do: download the new Real-Player Beta (not sure what # it is). This version of it lets you download any video on any website easily as long as it's not copyright-protected. All you got to do is install it, then when you watch a video online a toolbar that says DOWNLOAD shows up and all you got to do is click it. Sorry, but I have not yet tested it for YouTube. However, you might find use of it for other videos. ^-^

tubesucker.com this is a free youtube download site, for the basic version. Download and install tubesucker, now go to Zamzar.com because most MP3/ IPod cant play flash video .FLV you need t convert using this site to AVI or MOV format. When this conversion is complete you'll get an email with a save link. ( this is also free)

goto mozilla.com and get firefox, get the add-on grab it or a add-on that grabs you tube videos. download real player to see the videos.
