I have my menstural cycle and it hurts a lot. I have a lot of bowel movements so my behind is very sore, are there ways to feel better and less moody, crabby and irritable? What are good healthy foods to eat during my cycle?

If you are having cramping and loose stool, I would suggest trying some Chamomile tea, as it will relax you and does somewhat relieve cramps. It will also help sooth your mood! As for your bowel movements, I would recommend binding foods, like rice(lots of fiber) if your bm is loose.

My own personal theory is that the pressure from menstural cramps causes cramping in the stomach which makes you have more bowel movements. This is only my personal theory, I am not a medical person at all.

If you are experiencing painful bowel movements than you may have hemmaroids. Try eating a high fiber diet and drinking lots of water. You can take a stool softner that does not contain a laxative, such as Colace (you can buy it over the counter, I get the Wal-Mart brand it is significantly cheaper).

Have you tried Midol or Pamprin? They've always helped me.
