Um, after reading some of your answers I thought I should add something. Neko is indeed the word for cat in Japanese, but it also has another meaning. I don't know how old you are so I don't know if I can really tell you what this is, so I'll just give you a clue. A neko can also be a derogatory slang name for a male person who takes the uke position in a yaoi relationship. Wikipedia has some pretty decent pages describing what an uke and yaoi are, so if you didn't quite understand, look them up there. Although to be honest, if you don't know what yaoi is, this definition of neko is probably not what you're after, in which case it's a cat.
