I recently bought 'Bush DFTA1001 Digital Scart Adaptor' which has freeview on it.Before i got this I had a scart lead connected to the back of the tv,and the other end connected to the back of the dvd player, and could record analogue tv of the dvd recorder. Now,because i only have 1 scart socket at back of my tv,I had to buy a multi scart 'Commtel 4 Way SCART Selector'.So now I connected the 'Commtel 4 Way SCART Selector' to the back of my tv,and put the scart which i disconnected from the tv into the 'Commtel 4 Way SCART Selector',and also put the 'Bush DFTA1001 Digital Scart Adaptor' into the 'Commtel 4 Way SCART Selector',but the problem is that for me to watch analogue tv i have to keep switching the tv aerial to and from the 'Bush DFTA1001 Digital Scart Adaptor'and the back of my dvd recorder. The aerial at the back of the recorder lets me watch and record analogue tv, but once i connect the aerial to the 'Bush DFTA1001 Digital Scart Adaptor'i can only watch freeview, not record it,?

You can't.

It is not possible to record from a Freeview box / scart adaptor onto a DVD recorder. You can record the analogue broadcast, because the recorder has a built in analogue tuner.

The only way to record Freeview, is to buy a DVD recorder with a Freeview tuner built in.

You should be able to use the DVD recorder to record from the Freeview box through it's SCART output.
So the config should be ...
Aerial - Freeview box - scart output - DVD Recorder - Scart output - TV (probably via the 4 way scart box)
The second Scart output from the Freeview box (assuming there is one should also go to the 4-way box and then to the TV also.

When recording the Freeview box, you will need to set the DVD recoder channel to the AV input channel - sometimes this is channel zero but if in doubt, watch the DVD channel on the TV and keep changing the channel on the DVD channel until you can see the Freeview box.
Remember - if the 4-way scart box automatically selects the scart output to be sent to the TV (usually the last one switched on) this can become very confusing because it may only switch the DVD to e viewed when playing the DVD. You may well have been better buying a SCART box with manual selection..
If you want to record on timer, you need to set the Freeview box and the DVD timers (again with the DVD set to the AV channel and NOT the terrestrial channel as you normally would.
I hope this helps.
