?????.... I think that the evidence would show that the polls don't matter... Doing the right thing matters

If Bush based it on the polls we'd have been out of Iraq years ago. The whole problem with Bush's administration is that he trusted PNAC and they didn't know what they were doing. And Bush has never been able to admit he made a mistake.

Bush has always insisted that polls don't matter to him. That's baloney too, every politician keeps an eye on the polls. Both parties spend millions a year in polling. Bush finally gave up on his main idea of privatizing Social Security because of the polls. Bush held a photo-op with schoolchildren a couple of days ago because the polls showed people didn't approve of the results of his No Child Left Behind. Bush is staying out of the '08 presidential election because his popularity polls are so low that none of the candidates want to be photographed standing next to him!

But when it comes to Iraq, Bush has never cared about the polls.

The PNAC group has the right wing media to spin for them. So polls mean nothing. They will raise the terror alert and maybe cause a crises to occur and the sheep will get scared and support phase 2 of PNAC.

Just check the stock price of Halliburton over the last 5 years. The $$$ means more than the popularity.

No the Liberals depend on the polls far more. And If i recall that PNAC bs happened over 30 years ago. Not really relevant to today's situation.
