out of context. The bashers are clinging to the "phony soldier" phrase as if Rush LImbaugh meant it as a slam against all military men and women.

FreePress, I don't even like Limbaugh but I have to speak up when it is so obvious.

Actually, the ACLU had nothing to do with protecting his privacy rights. That would be the Office of Civil Rights. We don't have to beg them. We all have the right under HIPAA.

As a soldier who served beside Rush in Nam, I want to put in my two cents. We all knew he was suffering with butt pimples, but still, we saw him daily show the kind of bravery that inspired us all. Dressing the wounds of his fellow soldiers and once, I remember the day so well, when he threw himself on a Vietnamese woman who was suspected of having a handgrenade on her person. He stayed there for hours, searching her cavities and reporting in from time to time to tell us he was alright...

he saved our lives.

God bless Rush. The greatest American. A one man reprise of the Greatest Generation.

*Newsflash!* It's not smearing or spreading lies to quote something that Rush said and that is posted on his own website. By his own words, a 'phony soldier' is any soldier who doesn't see the war as Rush sees the war.

--RUSH: There's a lot more than that that they don't understand. The next guy that calls here I'm going to ask them, "What is the imperative of pulling out? What's in it for the United States to pull out?" I don't think they have an answer for that other than, "When's he going to bring the troops home? Keep the troops safe," whatever.
--CALLER: Yeah.
--RUSH: It's not possible intellectually to follow these people.
--CALLER: No, it's not. And what's really funny is they never talk to real soldiers. They pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and spout to the media.
--RUSH: The phony soldiers.

I don't really listen to Rush, but I did check out his site to find out the left did another drive by.

Rush Sets the Record Straight:
"Phony Soldiers" Is a Phony Story

Thank you, George Soros, for demonstrating how the American left, the Democrat Party and the Drive-By Media work in concert to spread lies.

It's amazing how media matters took what Rush siad out of context.....They take a littel blib and distort it for their own use. If they truly did listen Rush wasn't talking about all soldiers we was talking about one...His name was Jesse MacBeth.... It's also amazing that the liberals haven't even said "sorry" for spreading falsehoods........

The left hate the fact that Rush is so powerful. They take everything they can and manipulate it until they get their result. The facts and truth mean nothing to the left. Those of you who do not check out what you see or read are all fools.

know what's funny...

I went to his site, from the link posted a few questions above... and he's got a picture of kerry on there mocking his "purple heart"

and HE'S crying about things taken out of context? when anyone that's looked into it clearly can see that entire "swift boat" story was taken out of context...

hahaha... and you're crying about lies?

looks like he's a victim of the same tools he uses...

karma... gotta love it...

EDIT: do Republicans think Rush gives both sides fairly?

I'm not saying Michael Moore is fair... but Rush does the same...he just does it on the radio instead of movies?

it's just funny to see someone deffending Rush, yet crying about how Michael Moore "distorts the truth"?

I am still waiting for Rush to explain how he got on his knees and begged the ACLU to protect him. I suspect he has a lot of medical secrets he didn't want exposed. Sure is good that the ACLU was there to protect Rush the Phony.

These left wing loonys are getting out of hand. They've taken a page right out of Michael Moore's MO and used a few cherry picked words to create a whole different set of "facts."
More disturbing is the apparent number of people who buy into this bull crap.
Sad.
