ahh....it would be real lame..no alcohol..no music..& the party would end at like 8:00..& of course all girls on one side & all boys on one side..

Well, I wouldn't party anywhere near Mount Etna, because it erupted that year... you could say it "interrupted" a very large party.
But, that was also the year that Antonio Stradivari built his first violin, so it would've been a great year for him to do some of the first power-fiddling for all the good folks!
So, to answer your question, what would happen if...?
Well, we could all meet over in 'ol Antonio's town, & dance around to the newest sounds by his group of fiddlers 'til way past dark in the orange-red glow of the nearby lava flows.
And if you're among the survivors, watch the sun rise on the new year.

Depends if we were peasants,(Proletariat) or Royalty,(Bourgeois) and in which country we were living.The class revolution has not yet occurred, in part; caused by the Industrial Revolution. No matter which class, no toilets yet either!
