There isn't really a cure.

But, you should drink a large glass of water for immediate replacement of lost fluids. You can replace lost nutrients with a banana milkshake (a half glass of milk, a banana, and two tablespoons of honey). Don't drink any more the next morning, it can worsen or prolong symptoms. Also, coffee doesn't do anything except make you jittery (it's also dehydrating).

The milkshake raises your blood-sugar level, which is lowered by excess alcohol intake.

For the headache I would recommend regular meds (advil, aleve, etc.) along with eating a few almonds. Almonds my help relieve your headache as well, as they contain pain-relieving chemicals.

If vomiting occurs a rehydration fluid would be 8 level teaspoons of sugar (or 4 heaping ones of honey) and one teaspoon of salt into one quart of water.

Drink lots of fluids before going to sleep. Take two aspirin, for some reason it helps keep the head from hurting quite so much.

DO NOT take Tylenol!!!!! The combination of acetominiphin and alcohol will wreck your liver in very short order!

Clearly, temperance in drinking or abstinence is the best method of prevention. And while rates of alcohol metabolism vary somewhat from beverage to beverage, choosing beer or wine over bourbon or brandy is less important than eating food, which will delay absorption of alcohol and result in lower levels in the blood.
