Because republicans think that it is fine for republicans to slur the military but think it is a capital offense for any non-republican to question the military.

It appears that they have very fascist ideals.

I listened to Rush that day and heard him today. He was talking to a caller who referred to soldiers who support the war as "real soldiers". The caller was talking about the habit of the press to find only soldiers that are against the war. Rush referred to a man who called himself a Ranger and Green Beret as a phony soldier and the few others like him that have lied to the press. The man was kicked out of the Army before he left recruit training. He was none of the above. For more information check out "The Winter Soldier" by the John Kerry group. There is a "soldier" wearing what could be described as a drum major uniform that looks something like a marine uniform. In one picture he has no legs and is an wheel chair, in another picture this same man is striding up the stairs to the capital building with healthy legs!!! No aids, no cane, no crutches! The left has created phony soldiers to further their agenda now and in the 70s.
To end; Rush Limbaugh has not called anyone but the frauds phony soldiers.

Excite I don't think you understand the meaning of that word fascists.

Out of context, far left wing garbage - and, apparently, you bought into it.
Rush was referring to the "soldiers" who drum up support for the far left loonies with stories of medals won, atrocities witnessed and tours in the Middle East - all of which are later proved to be outright lies. But that doesn't change the original message received by the people who simply don't follow up on such stories, never receive a retraction or simply think the debunking of these "phony soldiers" is some kind of right wing propaganda.

I must defend Rush, he was only talking about some guy who washed out of BCT after 44 days who said that the Rangers in Iraq committed all manner of atrocities and he was never there. Some guy named Jesse McBeth or something like that.
The press was all over it, thought they had a real scoop.
Those who spoke out against Rush owe him an apology on this. I can't believe this even got to the Senate floor.
Those who attacked Rush just gave him plenty of ammo to fire back. I'm not a Rush Limbaugh fan but he came out on top on this one.

For the rest of the story, you need to know what he was talking about. I was shocked when I first heard that he had said that, so I looked into it a little bit more.

Limbaugh today maintained that he was not speaking on his show Wednesday about soldiers who oppose the war in general, but rather one “phony soldier.’’ That would be Jesse MacBeth, who stoked opposition to the war last year speaking out about atrocities he committed as an Army Ranger. MacBeth, 23, of Tacoma, Wash., claimed to have killed more than 200 people, many at close range, some at prayer in mosques.

The only problem with MacBeth’s story was MacBeth himself: He had finished only six weeks of Army basic training, was never a Ranger and never deployed in Iraq. After conservative bloggers exposed him last year, he faced further trouble: Pleading guilty in June in federal court in Seattle to one count of making false statements to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Limbaugh does not deserve a response from anyone. He should be ignored.

He is such a hypocrite on so many levels. Plus the sight of his big fat self with his big fat cigar makes me nauseous. He's almost a cartoon.

He's waiting for congress to condemn him in a special session After all, it's not like there is anything else pressing going on in America and congress loves to condemn.

Because, honestly, Limbaugh is a pathetic little man that only uses outrageous tactics to get attention.

It's sad that people give him the time of day, really.
