i agree, i think a marriage should be the joining of twp people, i don't think gender should matter, i think its wrong to not allow two people who love each other to get married and i don't understand how christian values can dictate marital laws for a nation where there are hundreds of different religions and millions of non-religious people, it makes no sense and eventually people are going to realize that.

SHUT UP CHRISTIANS!!! It's so annoyign to see your constant stupid post about "it says in the bible"

THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER is that there should be a seperation of church and state! There should be no reason why two people of the game gender can not be bound by marriage if it wasn't for the U.S. beign ran by the freaking bible!

If the bible wasn't running the U.S. then gay marriage would already be legal. I can't wait for a freaking atheist or pagan to become president!

Marriage is between a Man and Woman. Just the way it is and always has been. Should continue to be the same way into the future. Marriage is designed to promote the family, having children, and raising them. I am not a rocket scientist or a Gynocolgyst, but I am fairly sure that neither two women nor two men can produce a child! Marriage laws and the tax breaks assocciated with them are to promote family life, (this includes/actually is the primary reason/ producing children!

Gay marriage should be legal because it is allows two people who love each other to have some rights, privileges, and benefits like being able to see each other in the hospital and have power of attorney should something happen. It is a matter of civil *rights*, and being rights they should be afforded to everyone, not just a special "first class" group.

it should not be period.if you read the bible you would know marriage was ordained by GOD himself as being between a man and a woman.no exceptions! GOD abhors homosexuality and GOD does not change, just because people are accepting of this nonsense to seem politically correct does not change a thing!! i believe that everyone has a choice to make, but there are consequences for any choice you make.if you want to be gay that is your right but GOD will not excuse your knowing sinful life, that is the consequence to living a life apart from GOD!there is no such thing as a homosexual christian period! there are no christian whores either to be a christian you choose a life apart from your former sinful nature!that is why so few will be in Heaven because they think they can twist the words of our LORD and Savior around and be fine--- wrong!!!if you must ,do your so called civil unions though i find nothing civil about it at all~! i am sorry if you do not like my answer but i must speak the truth so as to not knowingly mislead any one!peace and blessings to you!

Well seeing as marriage is the joining of two HUMAN BEINGS, i don't see why it shouldn't be legal, we are still normal people, we never did anything wrong by being what we are, gender should not matter. the fact that gay marriage isn't legal is yet another example of how stupid and wrong our society is, what happened to fairness and equality???? Maybe the world should apply to the simple idea of practice what you preech, then we may get somewhere

I agree. What difference does it make if you are a man and a woman or two men or two women, as long as you both love each other and are willing to commit to each other.

Love is what makes the world go round regardless of sexual preference.

Gay marriage should be legal because if someone is gay that is no reason why he shouldn't suffer like the rest of us!

I don't see any reason for it NOT to be legal. I see no logic in the argument that it will "destroy" the 'traditional' family.

i think that it should be legal because people should be able to express their love even if they are the same sex. I'm a lesbian and i love my partner.that's why they should be able to express their love.love is love and there's nothing that we can do about it.
