Guru,You know that thinking is the foam atop a roiling sea.
It takes effort to explore the sea and conquer the monsters and sweeten the mermaids there.

I actually do it all the time. My thoughts are constantly reassuring me with all the reasons on why I should do something. No decision can be made easily. I do it through writing, because if I can come up with enough reasons for something...then i can convince myself that it's okay, you don't have to be afriad of that something. It's kind of scary how your reasoning can convince your mind.

Fear stems from ones inability to reasonably approach any given situation. So in order to free yourself of fear you must understand that fear clouds the mind but calmness allows one to reasonably approach any situation.

stepping backwards from it and trying to figure out why you are afraid and where the fear comes from, then confronting that fear with the knowledge of knowing can lead to overcoming and moving forward to take on the next challenge...

but the only way to completely dispel the darkness is to bring in the light. "Know thyself" is how Socrates put it. He was speaking of the divine Self.. the light of life.
