I have to say yes. Im 76 years old now and have been through a lot and seen it all. I havent gone senile yet so come on and pick my brain.

Nope. It's pot luck, isn't it, whether you can help or put someone off? Maybe they hear you & realise there's too much involved, and that's their answer - step back, this is not for me. It's good to ask around, but that's the wonderful thing about people - at the end of the day, they are themselves, given their chance. I like a person who asks around & speaks up, and then gets on with it in style, & suits themselves : )

What if we are both coming from the same experience & want to change it a bit? OK, maybe they will feel, Great, I'm not alone, & get braver. Or they want to know how to do or fix something, or tolerate it anyway. They will, for entirely their own reasons! We all have different styles, choice of friends, ways of coping.

We don't always communicate well - or at all! The great thing is that we at least try to ask the right questions, and one at a time. And of someone who would know, care, and reply. Maybe explaining also what we'd like the answer to be, or that we are prepared to hear different views instead?

Depends on what they are trying to learn.

Some good and some bad things can be learned.
